    You can download the Annual Report or request a copy to be sent to you by submitting an online enquiry. For all other publications, please submit an online enquiry.


  • How do I find out what jobs are currently available and how do I apply for employment with Botswana Railways?
    All vacancies are advertised through the local papers and on our website.  For our latest job offerings see our Careers Section on the BR website.


  • Can I send my CV to Botswana Railways to be considered for future vacancies?
    Botswana Railways does not accept unsolicited CV’s.  All jobs open to members of the general public can be found in the Careers section on our web site. You will have to apply for a specific role, in a specific location in order to be considered for the job.
  • How do I as a business enterprise participate in BR tenders?
    All tenders are advertised through the local papers and on our website under the Suppliers section. 
  • Where are the Botswana Railways Headquarters located?
    The Botswana Railways Headquarters are located along the A1 Road, in Mowana Ward in Mahalapye. 
  • What are the BR services?
    Botswana Railways have the following services:
    • Freight Services mainly, transportation of commodities such as cement, coal, copper, soda ash, salt, fuel, grain and other consolidated freight.  
    • Dry ports terminals vis a vis Francon in the north and Gabcon in the south.
    • Blue Mark Service, a cost effective, overnight, door-to-door parcel delivery service which runs between Lobatse and Francistown.

  • What are the benefits of using the Gabcon and Francon dry ports services?
    The services facilitates the import-export business by:
    • Facilitating and boosting trade on the major entry and exit points of the country.
    • Streamlining customs formalities, with the aim of speeding up clearance in as little time as possible.
    • Provide door to door delivery service and subsequently, reduce customers' costs and problems.

  • Can I open an account for using Botswana Railways freight services?
    Yes, you can benefit from Botswana Railways freight service by opening an account for regular movement of bulk commodities between Botswana, South Africa and Zimbabwe. Botswana Railways has standing agreements with Transnet Freight Rail and the National Railways of Zimbabwe on commodity movement.  This allows you to open an account and pay for all railway administrations at a central point.
