Botswana Railways: Improving Service Standards in Our Passenger Trains
15 October 2008
Botswana Railways is committed to providing affordable and safe transportation to its customers for the conveyance of goods and passengers.
In the process of rendering this service, it is unfortunate that our customer service standards have been compromised and resulted in the discomfort of our customers who use our night passenger trains. Part of this problem is attributed to the old bedding that is offered in our first and second class cabins.
We would like to inform our customers that the cycle for purchasing new bedding has just elapsed, hence our inability to provide bedding that is at par with our organizational standards. We are currently in the process of procuring new blankets, sheets, pillows and pillow cases. We hope to have this process complete by mid October 2008.
We would like to assure our valued customers that Botswana Railways has maintained the highest standards of hygiene on bedding issued to our customers. This has been upheld by engaging an independent company to provide launderette services to Botswana Railways.
Botswana Railways Management would like to apologize to our esteemed customers for any inconvenience and discomfort that may have been caused.
