Taolo  Sebonego is Botswana Railways’ Chief Executive Officer

Botswana Railways Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Taolo K. Sebonego as its Chief Executive Officer. His appointment is effective 18th February 2009.

A Transport Logistics and Consultant by profession, Taolo becomes the sixth Chief Executive Officer of Botswana Railways. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics and Environmental Science, a Masters in Logistics and Distribution and a Post Graduate Diploma in Transport and Development.

Taolo has accumulated a wealth of experience in the field of transport and logistics which span over thirteen years. He started from humble beginnings as a District Transport Officer with the Central Transport Organisation in 1992 where he was later elevated to Transport Planner. In 1998 he joined Motor Company of Botswana as Section Manager and was promoted to the position of Master Production Scheduler in 1999.

He left Motor Company in the year 2000 to pursue his business interests and became the Managing Director of Enterprise Business & Development Consultant.  He pursued that path for five years and eventually joined Botswana Railways in 2005 as Director Marketing and Supply Chain. Taolo has been acting as the Chief Executive Officer of Botswana Railways since July 2008.
