Call for Expression of Interest

Financing/loan for Procument of Salt Wagons
Botswana Railways is seeking Expression of Interest from reputable local, regional and international financial institutions who wish to be invited to provide a loan to finance the procurement of its salt wagons.

This expression of interest is intended to call for interested financial institutions that have the capacity to provide long term financing. For purposes of submitting this EOI, bidders are requested to provide their company profile, capacity and capability of providing this service.

Submission of an Expression of interest should not be taken as a guarantee for inclusion on the shortlist. Only bidders who score above 70% will be short listed and invited to tender.

Bids are to be submitted in plain sealed envelopes and marked "Expression of Interest in Financing/Loan for procurement of salt wagons for Botswana Railways’’ and should be addressed to:

Or hand delivered and be deposited in a Tender Box at Botswana Railways Headquarters, Mahalapye Ground Floor. The above description of tender should be clearly endorsed on a plain sealed envelope. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders wishing to attend.

The closing time for receipt of bid submissions shall be at 1200 hours on Friday 9th April 2010. Late submissions will NOT be accepted.

Telegraphic, telex, telephone, email tenders will NOT be considered.

All bidders who submit an Expression of Interest bid, will be notified of the result of the exercise in writing.
