ACTING GENERAL MANAGERS’ STAFF ENGAGEMENT MEETINGS

Botswana Railways Acting General Manager, Ms. Chelesile Malele, accompanied by some members of the executive management conducted staff engagement meetings across various Botswana Railways stations.The sessions were done to actively listen to staff concerns, ideas, and feedback, which helps to foster a positive work environment. When addressing staff, Ms. Malele spoke at length about staff welfare, where she acknowledged issues that were still pending and needed to be addressed urgently. A major concern highlighted was the unavailability of PPE, which the Acting General Manager promised will be addressed as a priority. Employees expressed their appreciation for the engagements but cautioned against issues taking long to be resolved, which can build frustration. Mr. Kgomotso Mahupela, Director Corporate Services, concluded by thanking every employee and urged them to keep working hard to turnaround company fortunes.
