BOTSWANA RAILWAYS ENGAGES YOUTH AT MAHALAPYE YOUTH CONFERENCE

Botswana Railways took part in today’s Youth Conference in Mahalapye, hosted by the Ministry of Youth and Gender Affairs and graced by the Minister, Honourable Lesego Chombo.The engagement provided Botswana Railways with an opportunity to connect directly with young people and share information on career opportunities within the railway sector. The BR team also highlighted potential avenues for young people to engage with Botswana Railways as business partners and service providers as opportunities arise.  Participants actively engaged with the BR team, asking questions and gaining a better understanding of the railway industry, the skills required to build careers in the sector, and the potential opportunities available within the organisation. The session underscored the importance of creating platforms where young people can access information, explore career pathways and understand how they can contribute to the country’s economic development. Botswana Railways remains committed to supporting youth development by opening up opportunities in careers, entrepreneurship and business partnerships as they become available, while encouraging young people to equip themselves with the skills, knowledge and determination needed to take advantage of these opportunities.
