BOTSWANA RAILWAYS HOSTS STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT WITH HON. DAVID TSHERE AND MAHALAPYE LEADERSHIP

Botswana Railways had the distinct pleasure of welcoming the Honorable Minister of Communications and Innovation and Member of Parliament for Mahalapye West, David Tshere, for a courtesy visit this afternoon. The Minister was accompanied by a distinguished delegation, including Mahalapye's Kgosi Tshipe Tshipe, the Mahalapye District Commissioner, Mr. Ernest Phiri, and other Honorable Councillors from the Mahalapye West constituency.In his address, Honorable Minister Tshere affirmed the enduring support and collaboration between the Mahalapye community and the organization. He reiterated that consistent dialogue between village representatives including Dikgosi, Councillors, and the Office of the District Commissioner is essential, as it serves as a powerful symbol of unity and a driver of shared progress. The Minister further pledged his full support to the organization, noting that the successful turnaround of Botswana Railways is not only pivotal for the national economy but also a critical factor in the socio-economic advancement of Mahalapye.Kgosi Tshipe Tshipe remarked that the history of Botswana Railways and the village of Mahalapye is undeniable and forever intertwined.
