BR and Mahalapye District Council partner to launch the annual Pre-Independence Clean Up Campaign

Botswana Railways partnered with Mahalapye District Council and other organisations to launch the annual Pre-Independence Clean Up Campaign at Mahalapye main Kgotla. The five day campaign is set to roll out to different wards and villages within the district in concerted effort to keep Mahalapye District clean. Speaking at the launch, the Council Chairperson Hon. Banthasetse Merementsi implored residents of all villages in the district to participate in this noble undertaking.Conservation of the environment is one of BR’s key focus areas captured in our CSI policy, and as a corporate citizen, we recognise our responsibility towards our stakeholders and the communities within which we operate. Our participation is a no brainer and we are looking forward to actively participate and contribute more in areas of conservation and the environment.
