BR Donates To Moiyabana Community

The Ministry of Transport and Communication through its Parastatals and Departments donated Moiyabana Community. Having been requested by the BOT50 Commiitee to give back to any community where the Roving Torch was to pass, the Ministry identified Moiyabana Village and conducted a needs assement survey. It is after the findings from the survey that the Ministry donated 130 bicycles and helmets, 4 combined printer faxes, 7 computers, 10 matresses, 23 lap desks, 50 plastic chairs and 5 benches. Present at the event was the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry Of Transport and Communications Mr. Neil Fitt who noted the importance of extending a helping hand to those in need. “The bicycles will ease travelling and safety for school going children while faxes will simplify communication in the community” said Mr. Fitt. The 4 combined printer faxes donated by Botswana Railways were given to Mothamo CJ.S.S, the Kgotla, the Clinic and Moiyabana Primary School.When accepting the donation on behalf of Moiyabana Community Honourable Councilor for Radisele Mr. Monare thanked everyone involved in arranging the donation. This gesture was a joint event with the Roving Torch that arrived in Moiyabana Kgotla on Thursday 8th July 2016.
