Mahupela Calls for Active Key Stakeholder Participation Education

Botswana Railways travelled to Mookane Community Junior Secondary School on August 19, 2016 to partake in the Form 3 Career Fair. The fair was aimed at Counseling as well as career development which can help students to have the best job opportunities in the labour market.  The event was held under the theme ‘Moulding tomorrow’s future today’ targeted form 3 candidates, who are doing their final year in the School.

In his address the Guest of Honour Acting Human Capital Director Mr. Kgomotso Mahupela said key stakeholder participation in the education sector is paramount for the success of Education in Botswana .He called on parents, teachers and the business community to provide all the support that learners require since education is collaborative effort. “You need to take your studies seriously as it is very critical, and it determines the quality of life they are going to live in future” Mahupela urged the students.

In closing he said there is a lot of competition in the job market since were are living in a global village therefore learners need to focus their attention solely to their studies. Organizations present were not limited to but included BUIST, Serowe IHS, Palapye Technical College, CEDA, CITF, Botswana Prisons service, Botswana Post and Gogontlejang Phaladi of Gogontlejang Pillar of Hope.
